TRAFFIC
If you have been charged with a drink driving or drug driving offence, it is important that you understand the consequences and take steps to limit the damage to your future. One of the most serious consequences is the potential for a period of disqualification from driving. Further this extends to those who are caught in their recreational boats. It is important that you consult with us, as with certain offences time can be of the essence.

You also may be eligible to apply for a restricted or work licence, so make sure you contact our office to see if you qualify.

If you have been disqualified from driving, it is possible to apply for the removal of this disqualification (this is dependent on length of disqualification). This process can vary from state to state, so it is important you understand your rights and how to move forward to have your drivers licence disqualification removed.
IMMIGRATION
Immigration Law is a complex and ever-changing field. It is important to have a professional lawyer who can advise you on all aspects of Immigration Law, from visas to permanent residence. Our team of experienced Lawyers are here to help you navigate the complexities of Immigration Law and ensure that your rights are protected throughout the process. With our expertise and dedication, we will help you achieve your desired outcome while adhering to all applicable laws and regulations.
DRUGS
In Queensland, the possession of dangerous drugs and supply or trafficking in drugs are both serious offences that can carry life imprisonment. This makes it essential to obtain legal advice if you are ever accused or charged with a drug offence in Queensland.

It is important to be aware of your rights, as police may search an individual or a property without a warrant if they reasonably believe a person has committed an offence or have unlawful possession of drugs. However, any evidence obtained from an unlawful search may be deemed inadmissible in court.

With the high penalties associated with drug offences in Queensland, it is also important to understand the law surrounding what constitutes possession of dangerous drugs, trafficking in drugs, and supplying drugs. Even if you are not directly involved with the drug activity itself, you may still be charged for aiding or abetting someone else’s criminal act.

It is therefore essential to seek legal advice and to familiarise yourself with your rights and obligations when it comes to drug offences in Queensland.
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
Domestic violence has increased in our community, bringing with it a multitude of issues. The laws surrounding domestic violence have changed over the years in order to protect victims, such as Protection Orders and Police Protection Orders. This gives the police more power to tackle this problem effectively, however it also increases the possibility of false allegations being made. It is important that people are aware of what constitutes a Protection Order or Police Protection Order and the implications for both parties involved.

It is equally important that support networks are accessible both for victims of domestic violence and those who may be wrongly accused, so that they can receive the help they need to move forward in a positive direction. Domestic violence should not be tolerated and there needs to be greater education around the issue so that we can work towards reducing these types of incidents in our community.
BAIL
When charged with offences, you may be given a notice to appear (NTA) or arrested and taken to the watchhouse where police may give you bail or oppose bail. If the police oppose your bail, you must then apply for bail before a Magistrates Court. The court will consider the application for bail based on the nature of the offence, your personal circumstances and any other relevant factors.
